About fifty shooters showed up for the IDPA Minus Rain Chilly Hurricane Event. Only 27 finished. There are 24 finishers with IDPA numbers on the score sheet. I will bring the sheets of the non IDPA members to the next match if you would like to see how your scores compare. Thanks for coming. I hope to see everyone at next month’s match.

We had thirty five participants. Thanks to all who helped with the setup and tear down. Andy Sweeny had top score and Craig Lawrence was least points down. First time IDPA shooter Mitch Michalik came in with the sixth best score and as I told him at the match he isn’t getting any more new shooter slack when I’m SO. Mike Langston who I believe was shooting his second match came in third best so obviously he has had some shooting experience. Thanks to Andy Sweeney and Ted Gens for performing safety officer duties. We hope to see everyone next month.

Reduction of the power floor for the Stock Service Revolver Division
IDPA recognizes the difficulty of finding off the shelf factory loaded .38
special ammunition that meets the existing 125,000 power floor for SSR.
Because of this difficulty, IDPA has decided to lower the power floor
required for SSR to 105,000. The 105,000 power floor will allow more off
the shelf brands of ammunition to meet the requirement for the SSR
division. This change in power floor should allow IDPA members more
opportunity to participate in the SSR division without having to invest in
reloading equipment.
This change in power floor will become effective on January 17th, 2011.
For reasons of continuity, the ongoing 2010/2011 Postal Match will still
require 125,000 power floor ammunition to be used for any matches yet to be
held.
